Check for Missing Points

Occasionally you will come across a building in the online editor imagery that is not represented by an icon. If you know that the building is one of the structure features being collected by the TNMCorps, then you can add a point to the map.

However, some volunteers may prefer to start with a list of features and then check the map to see if those features have already been added or edited. If this is something you are interested in doing, see the following examples to help you check for missing points using:

Personal Knowledge

Area of Interest

Structure Type of Interest

Post Offices

If you want to add new points to the map, you need to make sure there is not already a point on the map for that feature. Sometimes points are placed in the wrong location. For more information on how to determine whether or not points already exist in the map, refer to Step 2 of the example.
