I am wondering if it is possible to use a GPS enabled device, such as a laptop or tablet, to pinpoint your location and then place the icon on the current position. I've looked at several cemeteries in heavily wooded areas making it hard to get the exact location.

Since older rural cemeteries can be very difficult to verify using online resources alone, GPS can be extremely helpful in identifying their locations. So if you have access to a reliable GPS device, you are certainly welcome to use it to record cemetery locations.
