Welcome to the TNMCorps Q&A community!

Hello - Been doing work in Lawrence County, Missouri and I have a question about the format for their county Roads. Let's take one of their county roads, 1150, as an example.

For homes, the address format is "21855 Lawrence 1150", so there is a specific numbered address followed by Lawrence 1150 (Lawrence County Road 1150).

For many of the cemeteries I'm working on (or other outlier structures) there is no official "street number address", just that the cemetery is on "Lawrence 1150".

I know the guidelines say to use "County Road 1150" as the address. But I've been using the following when the structure doesn't have an address: (Lawrence) County Road 1150.

I put the Lawrence in parenthesis to let the peer reviewer know it is in Lawrence County, but I don't want to create extra work, so should I just use "County Road 1150"?

Thanks!

Yes, you should just enter the road name (e.g. County Road 1150) without the county in parenthesis. The only special characters that our database allows are hyphens or slashes (with a space on either side), so parenthesis will need to be removed.

You are correct that cemeteries more often than not will not have an address. It is acceptable to enter a single street or road name into the 'Address 1' field, but any additional information or explanation (such as the county name) should be included in the 'Comment' field.
