What should I name a courthouse if I can't see a sign on the building, and there is no distinct name listed on a authoritative website?

As long as the name you enter for a courthouse has come from an authoritative source, we will accept it. However, keep in mind that since we are not collecting individual courts operating within a courthouse, whichever name you enter should be representative of the building comprising the courts.

If you can't find a name listed anywhere for a county court, an acceptable name would be the name of the county, plus the word courthouse: e.g. Larimer County Courthouse

If you can't find a name listed anywhere for a state supreme court, an acceptable name would be the name of the state, plus the words state supreme courthouse: e.g. Colorado State Supreme Courthouse.
