Your documentation states that "[i]f there are multiple courts operating out of a single building, only one point should be collected for that building." But what if a County Court is located in the same building as the State Supreme Court? Should there be two points added to the same building, or does one court trump the other? |
In this case, there should be two points added to the map on the same building: one representing the State Supreme Court, and one representing the County (or District, etc.) Court. Remember not to stack the points. The points should be as centered as possible on the building, but they should also both be clearly visible. This is the only situation in which two courthouse points would be added to the same building. Keep in mind that we are not collecting individual courts in a courthouse such as juvenile court or family court.
