Welcome to the TNMCorps Q&A community!

As a standard editor, am I able to correct a street number error which I realized only after I hit save? Sorry, but I'm new to this and haven't been able to find the answer in the guide.

Hello, and welcome!

Yes, you are able to go back and correct a street number error in the address fields. If you try to edit the point immediately after hitting save (i.e., 1 or 2 minutes after hitting save), you might get a temporary error saying the point is locked. This is because it is currently being synced with our system. However, approximately 5 minutes after saving, if you go back to edit the point and hit save, it should accept your edits.

So yes, the system will allow you to revisit a point and make/save additional changes.

Hope this helps! Please reach out to us either via Q&A or at nationalmapcorps@usgs with additional questions and we're happy to assist!

Regards,

Sam

Thanks, Sam. I assumed that's what I should be able to do, but for some reason, I was locked out for multiple days. Today, however, I was able to correct the address.
