Welcome to the TNMCorps Q&A community!

School names with initials in them are failing the new error check. Should the initial be kept in or removed? I'm currently keeping them in because they are part of the full name.

I've been keeping the initials in as well. Although I do remove periods after the intial if there are any.

I agree and I also leave out the punctuation. Haven't seen any specific guidelines on this but there are a number of schools in my area that use initials in the school name.

If initials are used in the official name of the school, it's OK to include them. You are correct to remove any punctuation from the name (other than the occasional /, or -).
