Hello, In Lompoc, CA the Santa Barbara County fire department moved down the street to a new location. The old location is sometimes used for training purposes, but is no longer an active location. I moved the point to the new location. Was that mistake to just move it when it has a GNIS ID number? We can't delete the GNIS ID, so should I have deleted the point and created a new point?

What you did was exactly correct. It is important to keep points (especially those with GNIS IDs) whenever possible, and it is common mistake to delete a point that is in the wrong location rather than just moving the point to the correct location. Thanks!!
