I am having problems getting Aerial Imagery (TNM) to display in the Editor. I am using Standard Editor, but the problem shows up in Peer Review and Advanced Editor too. I've clicked on the "background" drop down menu and tried using Classic Topos and other background layers, and they all seem problematic. Switching to NAIP imagery seems to help. Why is this happening? |

From time to time there are problems with the imagery services that the TNMCorps web application pulls from The National Map Web Services. Switching from TNM Imagery to NAIP sometimes helps (click on "background" in the upper right hand corner of the map editor). Please contact nationalmapcorps@usgs.gov if the problem persists. For this specific problem (occurring on or around 1/15/2016) we are working to resolve the issue. |

It is slow internally too, and they are aware of it. Try switching over to Esri Imagery. That should help. I'm not sure what "...nominated sites remain in orange ball phase" means. |
