How should we approach cases where there are more than one fire station in the same building? Example: A regular fire station and a volunteer fire station. |

We treat these situations on a case-by-case basis. In general, if a volunteer fire company is housed with a paid fire company (as in this case), we may collect 2 points on the feature as long as they are 2 distinct entities as far as the fire departments are concerned. Two points in this situation is OK. In some instances paid and volunteer personnel are intermingled so that it is hard to distinguish whether a station should be 1 or 2 points. Best judgement will have to suffice in these cases and I would default to one point with the same name as the fire station. |
